Our students recently embarked on an unforgettable outdoor adventure, delving into the fascinating world of maple sugaring.

This hands-on learning experience, made possible by the collaborative efforts of @pono.nyc, @city_to_sanctuary, and @westmorelandsanc, allowed our young explorers to discover the journey from sap to syrup.

After learning about the intricate process of boiling down the sap to create maple syrup, they were treated to a taste test of the finished product—perfectly suited for drizzling over pancakes.

This outdoor educational experience not only taught our students about the science behind maple sugaring but also highlighted the importance of sustainable practices and community collaboration. By engaging with nature and learning through hands-on activities, our students developed a deeper appreciation for the environment and the interconnectedness of ecosystems.
