Select 11th and 12th graders from our Jaguar family recently enjoyed a successful fall SUNY overnight college exploration trip.

Students spent the first day at SUNY Binghamton on an official admissions tour, where they learned about academics, student life, and the many pathways available at a large public research university. Walking the campus, visiting key spaces, and hearing directly from admissions staff helped them picture themselves as future college students and understand what it takes to thrive in that environment.

After a full day of exploring Binghamton, the group traveled to Dave & Buster’s in Syracuse for dinner, games, and time to unwind together. Sharing a meal and enjoying friendly competition gave students a chance to bond outside the classroom and strengthen relationships with peers and staff, further building the sense of connection that defines our school community. These moments of joy and shared experience are an important part of the trip, supporting confidence, belonging, and a positive school culture.

The following day, students continued their journey with a visit to SUNY Cortland, where they explored another SUNY campus and learned about its programs, campus life, and support services for undergraduates. Experiencing multiple campuses in person allowed students to compare different college environments, ask thoughtful questions, and reflect on which settings might be the best fit for their goals and interests.
