A few weeks ago, the Jaguar family came together for a powerful day of reflection, connection, and gratitude.
More than 60 alumni returned to campus to speak with current students, sharing their experiences, wisdom, and post-graduation journeys. Their presence offered real-world insight and inspiration, helping students see the many paths that can grow from their time at High School for Climate Justice.
The day also featured a special “community of love” discussion in Jag Time, facilitated by 12th graders and inspired by the work of bell hooks. Centering love, care, and justice in conversation, students and staff reflected on what it means to build a school community where everyone feels seen, valued, and supported. Senior leaders helped guide honest dialogue about relationships, accountability, and the kind of world our young people want to create.
To close the day, the entire community gathered to share pie and celebrate the spirit of Thanksgiving together. Laughter, conversation, and the simple joy of being in each other’s company turned the building into a true home away from home. It was a day that honored our alumni, uplifted our current students, and reminded everyone that the Jaguar family is built on love, gratitude, and community—today and always.
