As the school year drew to a close, the High School for Climate Justice marked the occasion with a celebration that combined the joy of the outdoors, the warmth of a crackling fire, and the delectable flavors of campfire cooking.

Thanks to our amazing partners, @westmorelandsanc and @pono.nyc, we bid farewell to the academic year in true Jaguar family fashion – by embracing learning outside and creating cherished memories around the fire.

Under the guidance of our partners, students rolled up their sleeves and learned the art of building a campfire. Each step was a lesson in patience, teamwork, and respect for the elements. With the fire crackling and the coals glowing, it was time to indulge in the culinary delights of campfire cooking.

Students took turns grilling hot dogs, savoring the smoky aroma that infused each bite. No campfire celebration would be complete without the s’mores. Students gathered around the fire, roasting marshmallows to golden perfection and sandwiching them between graham crackers and melted chocolate. But the true highlight was the caramelized apples, a sweet and tantalizing treat that perfectly complemented the savory flavors of the day.
