Hamilton brought U.S. History off the page and onto the stage!

Our 11th grade U.S. History students got to enjoy the Broadway musical Hamilton. After the show, they stayed for a talkback with the cast.

Students had spent the year studying the founding era in class. Seeing those debates and decisions play out on stage, and then hearing straight from the performers, gave them a whole new way into the story of how the country began.

A big thank you to the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History for the continued opportunities to bridge the classroom and the theater, and to deepen our students’ understanding of U.S. History. Experiences like this stay with students long after the curtain comes down!
