Bundled up, our Jaguar family set out for an adventure unlike any other – a winter hike through the wonderland of Westmoreland Sanctuary! With the guidance of Pono NYC’s awesome naturalists, we stepped into a living classroom; where every fallen log and frosted twig held a story.

The winter season is a crucial time for wildlife. It’s when animals demonstrate incredible survival strategies and adaptations. Witnessing these adaptations firsthand while hiking through the trails was an eye-opening experience for us and our students. From observing how certain species camouflage themselves to discussing how others adapt physiologically, every step on the trail was a lesson waiting to unfold.

We thank @westmorelandsanc and @pono.NYC for their invaluable partnership and commitment to enriching educational experiences. Together, we’re fostering a love for learning that extends far beyond textbooks
